This part of Nepal lies in the most eastern part of Nepal which is bordered with Sikkim and West Bengal in the east and Bihar in the west of Indian States and in north with Tibet of china. The first highest Mt Everest and third highest mountain Mt Kanchenjungalies here. Budha Subba Temple is one of the prides of Dharan and Eastern Nepal. It is a religious place of Nepali People. Budha Subba temple is also the tomb of the last Limbu King of Morang, Buddhi Karnaraya Khebang.
It is the one of the prosperous town located at Sunsari district of Eastern Part of Nepal.It is surrounded by hills from three sides and it is multi-ethnic municipality where ethnic tribes like Subba. Tamang, Gurung, Magar, ect live in harmony. Major Sites of Dharn are: Bhedetar Tower, Ghantaghar ,Bhanu Chowk and Earthquake Memorial garden etc, This place is also the gateway to Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Kumbhakarna and even we can go to other hill stations like Dhunkuta Bazar and Hile bazar.
One of the major attractions of Taplejung is the Pathivari devi Temple. This little known region attracts tourists seeking spiritual fulfillment and blessings from the powerful Pathivari devi . Hindus as well as Buddhists reach the temple for celebrations during special occasions. The trek to Pathivari devi (3794 m) combined with the natural and cultural experiences of the region make the visit a unique exhilarating experience. It takes a single day to reach the temple of Pathivara on foot from Taplejung Bazaar. On the way to the temple one can find many species of Rhododendron (the nation flower of Nepal). The shrine of the Pathibhara Devi temple is located on a mountain at 3794 meters in the Far East of Nepal. The temple is holy for Hindus as well as Buddhists.
Ilam is a beautiful hill station in eastern Nepal. It is popular for tea with many beautiful and lush tea gardens in the hills of Ilam.
